Vitality

Whenever a foal or puppy is born or a chicken hedges, they initially make a rather helpless impression. Within a very short time, however, foals and puppies are on their feet, unlike the little chickens. Nature differentiates between precocial and nidicolour animals. With the nidicolours, which include most types of birds, the new born babes are completely reliant on their parents. Precocial animals, on the contrary, soon become self-sufficient.

Anyone who has watched a foal being born will have noticed how quickly it finds its way in this world. Within just a few days its greatest pleasure is to race and frolick around. In early times movement was vital for horses as they had to cover long distances in their search for sufficient food. This is no longer important nowadays because human beings usually provide the fodder. Nevertheless they have maintained their natural instincts and still enjoy exercise in natural surroundings, just like their ancestors.

Running and galloping keeps our horses fit and healthy, but also makes them tired. Therefore it is quite possible that after intensive training or longer hacking out the horse's legs swell slightly or muscular tensions occur, which is very unpleasant for the animal and can also be painful. Just like ourselves, our horses need the possibility to recover from strenuous exercise in o‍rder to be able to be energetic again the following day in their natural environment.

Vitality by Thermotherapy

Cold and heat applications soothe complaints in connection with the locomotory system in a natural way.

In the case of acute injuries and swellings a cold treatment is to be recommended. Cold blocks the pain tracts, reduces the transmission of pain and thus restricts the perception of pain. Cold has an anti-inflammatory effect, reduces swelling and increases performance.

In the case of sore joints, pulled and tense muscles, heat is to be recommended. Sustainable heat leads to vascular dilation and improved circulation. As a consequence, the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the injured tissue is increased and toxic waste products are removed more quickly. This enables joints and muscles to recuperate and regenerate quickly.

Movement has always been a crucial factor in a horse's health and it is our responsibility to support this. Because: Friendship needs care.
